GOAL 3 Wins Second Place in EU Prize for Humanitarian Innovation!
The European Commission awarded GOAL 3 with a 150.000 euro EU Prize for Humanitarian Innovation!
The IMPALA system was recognized at the 2024 European Humanitarian Forum as one of the most innovative and cost-effective solutions for helping those affected by humanitarian crises – taking second place. Our founder and CEO Niek Versteegde and international business development lead Janharmen Drost were present at the forum to receive the award. And while it is an honor to receive such an award from the EU, it only affirms what we already know.
The IMPALA system was designed from its beginning with African healthcare workers for African healthcare workers – helping them prioritize patients, saving time and lives. Through the combination of unique algorithms and continuous monitoring, healthcare workers in low-resource settings can move from reactive to proactive care.
With this award, we take a major step towards the financial sustainability of our organization which brings us closer to our goal of improving access to high quality of care for 100 million people, by enabling and empowering 1 million health workers by 2030.
We are extremely grateful to the EU for granting us this award. And of course, to our employees who make this all possible!
Because – We all Health
